- I suspect these are nothing more than a simple Gunn oscillator, a switch, and
- a voltage regulator for providing the 7.5 to 9 volts normally used by the
- oscillators. If this is the case, the following information should help
- those who like to "roll their own".

- Gunn oscillators for X-band can be bought new (in quantity 25 or so) for less
- than $25 to $75 depending on power level (5 milliwatts to 200+ milliwatts).
- I bought a several 10 milliwatt motion sensor modules (with receiving diode)
- at Dayton last year for $15. I bought a few tiny 5 milliwatt oscillators for
- less than $8. The prices at Dayton seem to vary with supply, but I have found
- these Gunn oscillators somewhere in the flea market every time I have looked.
