- I bought a Scientific Atlanta Cable Decoder/Tuner (model 8580-338) a few
- weeks ago (without the manual) and I have no idea how to program it. The SA
- Decoder/Tuner seems to operate. It responses to all options, but I don't know
- how to program it. It has a 'decoder' built-in ('dC' was displayed on the LED
- panel) but I can't confirm it without a manual. It has several buttons in the
- front of the box (BUY, SELL, OFF, AU, PRG, RCL, +, -).
- It seems to me that you need a remote control to program the box (no 0..9
- number buttons on the box itself), I don't have time to fuzz with this box, so
- I want to sell it. The same model was advertised in the cable magazines for
- $150 to $250 (SA 8580-338 with Remote control). The SA box is in perfect shape
- (no scratches), a thin plastic that cover the LED display still intact when I
- received my box.
- I paid $130 (without a remote control) and I would like to sell it (AS-IS)
- to any offer $80 or above, and I will pay for the shipping cost. Email me if
- you are interested...
