- Hi, I have two preschoolers and the medical community has really been pushing
- the egg and salmonella issue (because babies and young kids can die from
- salmonella poisoning). You have to remember that an egg is not solid and
- impermeable. The shell is quite porous and bacteria can migrate freely into
- the interior of the egg. And eggs get quite mucky with fecal matter, so there
- are lots of bacteria making the journey!
