  11. Hi, I have two preschoolers and the medical community has really been pushing
  12. the egg and salmonella issue (because babies and young kids can die from
  13. salmonella poisoning). You have to remember that an egg is not solid and
  14. impermeable. The shell is quite porous and bacteria can migrate freely into
  15. the interior of the egg. And eggs get quite mucky with fecal matter, so there
  16. are lots of bacteria making the journey!
