- My, we're all getting smug about this one, aren't we??
-
- Perhaps the original poster has a job that precludes bike riding as an
- option. I can think of any number of jobs (sales or service reps being two
- obvious examples) where schlepping around on a bike all day isn't really
- an option.
-
- Perhaps a series of isometric exercises is what the original poster is
- after. Unless she (he?) spends a lot of time in stop-and-go traffic (and
- then, only when stopped), I wouldn't think even that would be such a great
- idea whilst driving.
-
- One thing I do have some experience with: my dad has always kept one of
- those spring-loaded wrist-grippers in his car (he fell into the "bike not
- an option" category for much of his career), and I carry one around in my
- briefcase. Helps fight boredom and saves valuable gym time that might
- otherwise be devoted to forearm work.
