- I had the same problem with my Nordic Track (Sequoia model) when I first got
- it. After a couple of days of irritation, I got out the documentation and
- re-read it. What they recommend is to get a little paraffin or beeswax and
- carefully wax the *sides* of the skis - *not* the bottoms. I currently have
- over 500 more kilometers on the machine and the problem has not come back -
- if it does, another 5-minute wax job should fix it again.
-
- Your idea of using furniture guides sounds OK, but if you had not already
- done it I would have recommended the wax treatment first. The important
- thing is, yours is working now and you are using it.
-
- Watch out - it can get addictive! I am currently up to 4 kilometers, 5 times
- a week. Due to work pressure I have been getting home later and later, and
- sometimes too tired to do anything but go to bed. If I miss more than one
- day, I start getting irritable and restless; I have been known to get on the
- machine at 3AM just to avoid this. If it wasn't good for me I'd be a prime
- candidate for Nordic Trackers Anonymous ;-)
