Thanks for the replies on aerobic ativities (specifically running) in regards
to weight gain whilst lifting weights. I have decided to leave running until i
am happy with the gains made up to that point.
I have another beginner question now. The following day after a workout i
should be filling myself with protein so that the muscles can recouperate and build - right?
Whilst i have seen the discussions on eggs (the best source of protein) i
cannot eat eggs at work (too many complaints) so i'm relying on milk as my
primary source of protein. I'm typically going through 1 litre of milk in
the day. How will this affect weight gains and more specifically, is this
enough? I find that 1 litre is not very hard to consume, but i wouldn't want
to try and drink too much more... it tends to bloat a little.
I have no problems as far as eating foods with protein... i LOVE chicken and
could eat it every day whether or not i was intedning to gain weight. More
often than not my meals after a workout are; Chicken on rice/Chicken with vegs and potatoes, bowl of cereal, 3 maybe 4 eggs. But that's about it really. Having 2 a weeke evenings dedicated to working out a week is the max i can manage. My diet tends to suffer a bit on the other days.
