- I believe that the returns for heating are supposed to be high.
- The furnace then heats the warmer air hotter than it would heat the
- colder air. Same thing with cooling, the returns are low so the
- the AC cools the cold air colder than it would cool hot air.

- So naturally you would ask, does heating the hotter air do a better
- job than heating the cooler air? I dunno. But in a cool room,
- I would rather sit near a warmer vent than a tepid one.
