- Better Business Bureau. They are of limited usefullness. They will only
- accept your complaint if you will agree to rescind the complaint if the
- company takes a reasonable course of action. The complaint and whether or
- not it was settled to your satisfaction remains on record to anyone who
- asks.

- For example, if I have a rebuilt engine installed and it throws a rod a
- few days later, I might file a complaint agreeing to settle for a new
- engine. If the shop replaces the engine, they've settled the complaint.
- The BBB would tell you that a complaint was filed and settled.

- interest in companies that make their community less attractive.
