  13. Yesterday evening we noticed that the lights were periodically
  14. flickering.  Not on and off, but a single slight dim/return to full
  15. every once in a while.  Went to check the fuse box, and when I walked
  16. into the garage immediately noticed a burned/electrical smell (like
  17. when a fuse blows).  None of the fuses were blown, however.  I looked
  18. around in the attic for gnawed on wiring but found none.

  20. We have been so far unable to reproduce this or figure out what
  21. happened.  (And we no longer remember exactly what combination of
  22. lights/appliances was on at the time).

  24. Any hints? Is this an almost-blown fuse?  I suspect at least one of
  25. our circuits to have to much on it.  What should I look for?  Any
  26. hints at all would be greatly appreciated...
