  12. A relative has asked me to repair the ceiling fan switch (located in the fan housing).
  13. I usually have no problem with electrical connections and minor repairs, unfortunately,
  14. someone took the whole unit apart, and all I have is the broken switch with a bunch of
  15. short wires and the main wires from the ceiling.  I have no idea how to wire
  16. the three speed switch, especially since this switch, circular in shape, has eight
  17. slots for wiring connections.  I did purchase a new switch hoping to have some
  18. wiring diagram, but that was not the case.  The books I have on home repairs just
  19. say to rewire it the way it was ???? Any clues?

  21. btw, there is also what I beleive is a reversing switch, its wires are also
  22. hanging out loose.
