- Hmmm. One might even construct a variant of the well-known argument that
- it's easier to get cut with a dull knife than with a sharp one. The
- reason: If your HW temperature is inadequate, you'll get accustomed to
- using 100% hot water with no cold water mixed in. If it's adequate, you
- will be in the habit of always using cold water mixed with hot.

- Admittedly, hot water can scald. But the whole point of a 40-gallon hot
- water heater is to be able to make a lot more than 40 gallons of *warm*
- water, by mixing.
