  30. Hmmm.  One might even construct a variant of the well-known argument that
  31. it's easier to get cut with a dull knife than with a sharp one.  The
  32. reason: If your HW temperature is inadequate, you'll get accustomed to
  33. using 100% hot water with no cold water mixed in.  If it's adequate, you
  34. will be in the habit of always using cold water mixed with hot.

  36. Admittedly, hot water can scald.  But the whole point of a 40-gallon hot
  37. water heater is to be able to make a lot more than 40 gallons of *warm*
  38. water, by mixing.
