  11. I've recently had some work done on my house which included reinforcing
  12. several support beams in the house.  I now have 2 sections that have
  13. exposed 2 x 4's which I would like to cover up.  Someone suggested
  14. buying pine boards (1" thick) and have the ones coming down from the
  15. ceiling lap over at the bottom, sort of like this:

  22. I think this looks too boxy, but I really don't have any other ideas.
  23. I'm trying to sell the house, so I don't want to spend too much on it, but
  24. I also don't want it to look cheap.  I have 1 section that is 9' long,
  25. 3 1/2" wide and 6" high and 1 section that is 14' long (with 2 2 x4's supportingit in the middle), 3 1/2" wide and 6" high.
