- Selam be with you activ-l
-
- I am delighted to see the positive work you are doing about Haitii. It gives
- me hope that the same knid of effort will be applied to the mushrooming hot
- spots in africa. One of them is Ethiopia. A group of Ethiopians formed an
- active watch group called Ethiopia Watch to address the humanitarian issues
- in Ethiopia. The reasons for the formation of such a group are many. Allow
- me to mention two of them.
-
- 1. To address grassroot solutions to the current problems in Ethiopia
-
- 2. Since there is an attempt to devide Ethiopia along ethnic and linguistics
- regions, there is a lot of room for abuse of human rights by the interest
- groups. To this end there are already numerous rerports of human rights abuse.
-
- Having said this, this group is just starting to gain momentum. However the
- group believes that there are many important things to learn if one wants to
- address humanitarian issues. Therefore it is found necessary to consult
- experts or activists in this area. As much as possible we want to learn from
- you. If you want to know about this group. please contact me on or off line.
- I will be very happy to discuss the ideas of Ethiopia Watch.
-
- Sincerely
-
