  13.         My name is Christina Macpherson. I am going into Year 5
  14. of primary school here in Australia this year. Our school year
  15. starts on Tuesday, February 2. We have four terms of about ten
  16. weeks each.I live less than 100 metres from the school gate. I
  17. like maths and craft and I enjoy most school sports.

  19.         I read in your message in K12 Elementary that you liked
  20. soccer, horses and collecting cards. I like soccer a lot. I got
  21. a new soccer ball for Christmas. I want to learn to play tennis.

  23.         We have enough space for one a horse but our gardens are
  24. very special and take up most of the yard. I go riding when I
  25. am on my auntie's farm but usually on a motorbike.

  27.         I like swimming just like you do. I don't like the
  28. races at school carnivals. I lose because I am tiny. I just swim
  29. for fun.

  31.         This week my dad took my brother, my visiting cousin &
  32. I to a covered pool to swim. That's good because we don't have
  33. to wear lotions and worry about sunburn.

  35.         I turn ten on March 1st. I have one brother named Tim.
  36. He is eight years old on the 23rd of January. I'd prefer a
  37. sister but Mum and Dad say they have enough kids.

  39.         I see you have less pets than many other kids here.

  41.         For pets, I have two cats and ten peachfaces. The cats'
  42. names are Misty and Harold. Misty is eleven and she's really
  43. sick at the moment. She may die of old age soon. Harold is
  44. good. He is a really funny cat. He's a part Russian Blue. In
  45. case you don't know what peachfaces are, they are small
  46. Australian parrots. They have two shades of green for their
  47. bodies and a sort of pinkish face. They are a tiny bit bigger
  48. than a canary.

  50.         I am blonde and have long, straight hair that goes
  51. halfway down my back. I am 128 centimetres tall. My mass is
  52. right on 26 kilograms at the moment. I am short and weigh less
  53. than most kids in my class.  That's 5 foot 3 inches and about
  54. 60 pounds. My dad said to tell you because you don't live in a
  55. metric country.

  57.         My dad is a teacher. My Mum is a bank teller.

  59.         I have my own computer but I prefer to use dad's big
  60. one. It is easier to use on the BBS. Do you have your own?

  62.         It is very hot at the moment. We have about 15 days a
  63. year where it stays over thirty degrees all day. This is one
  64. of them. We measure temperature in Celsius. Thirty degrees
  65. here is about 85 F in your country.

  67.         The name of my school is Blackalls Public. I hope to
  68. have Mr Berry as my teacher next year. I have not had a man
  69. teacher since I started school. What's your school like?
