  14.     Could someone help me please to solve the following problems in 
  15.     Demacs? I use it on a 386 PC.
  16.  
  17. (1) How to stop beeping? Based on the Emacs-FAQ, I tried to insert this
  18.     line into termcap file   " :vb=:"   and set variable "visible-bell" t
  19.     without any effect.
  20. (2) How can I bind "delete-backward-char" to BackSpace (BackArrow?) key?
  21.     Now Ctrl-BackSpace calls this function. I think, normally "help" is 
  22.     assigned to the BackSpace key in Demacs, but bobcat swaps it.
  23. (3) Is there any "better" dired than v.4.53 (if I remember well) for
  24.     Demacs and how to install it? This was included in Demacs distribution 
  25.     package.
