  15. Help!  My son has just gotten his first "real" job and is now a traveling
  16. salesman (know any good jokes?).  Seriously, he needs to find a budget
  17. priced laptop that can be used to keep his records on.  This includes:
  18.    -contact list w/phone, addresses, what they have bought, etc.
  19.    -a modem so that he can send orders to the home office
  20.    -note pad just to keep up with the day's activities
  21.    -a calendar to keep up with appointments
  22.    -who knows what else!
  23. To top it off, he wants to hold cost under $1,000 and be able to "dock"
  24. when he gets in from a road trip.

  26. Can anyone offer either suggestions on the specs of what he needs or
  27. better, what hardware are we offered to do the job.  A good package
  28. with software from someone on the net might be the best deal. Offers
  29. are encouraged.  Thanks.
