- What makes you so sure you're going to get an opportunity
- to struggle? From everything I've read about the many shootings in
- our area, most of the time it's not a bullet swap-fest, but rather
- someone pulls a gun and shoots the other fellow before the poor
- bastard even has a good idea what's going on. Depending on who you
- are dealing with, being prepared doesn't even enter into the
- picture. The alternative is to carry a gun and be constantly
- ready to use it, to keep someone from getting the drop on you, and
- in that case it seems people tend to shoot mailmen and housemates
- more often than not.
