- There is a place called Video Wizard in Hunt Valley that I go to that RENTS
- (and sells) laser discs as well as another in White Marsh called LaserLand,
- both of which have rental collections that are comparable in number to most
- video tape rental places. There are smaller places in Columbia that are just
- starting up and probably elsewhere where I have not looked. Laser discs are
- generally less expensive to rent then tapes.

- Hi....There is one place in Columbia that I know of: Video Systems
- located on Dobbin Road approx. .5 miles from where that meets Oakland
- Mills Road. They have a fairly limited selection right now but the
- more demand that they get the greater the selection becomes. I
- think they are renting for around $2.99 a night.
-
- I really like their selection and prices on both disks and tapes. So
- much so that they are my video rental store of choice although I live
- some 5 miles away in Dorsey Search. By the way they also rent cds and
- video games by the night.

- The video store at the corner of Hickory Ridge and Cedar Lane (near
- the hospital) (Video Systems Land?) used to carry a _limited_ supply of
- discs. They also have a sister store, only I dunno which one it is.
- 'Course, the best source would be to ask at the store itself. Good
- luck.

- I know of two video stores in Columbia that rent LD's. There is the
- Critic's Choice in the Long Reach shopping center. The number is
- (301) 730-1005. There is also a store on Dobbin Rd., about a mile
- south of the K-mart shopping center. I forget the name. Both stores
- have very, very, very limited selection.
-
- I recently acquired a LD player. I bought it to collect movies, but
- I'm also on the lookout for good rental places. There is a LD store in
- Baltimore on Charles St. I was there a long time ago. I don't
- remember if they rent. I plan to go back to take another look.
-
- If you find any stores, please let me know. I was just in Boston
- yesterday. That city is LD heaven (buy and rent)!

- I think the video store at the intersection of Cedar Lane & Hickory Ridge
- rents them. Can't remember the store name, but it is in a relatively new brick
- building (NOT the one with the High's). Don't know what they cost.

- I know of a couple of places, although none of them has a very big selection:
-
- Video Systems, on Dobbin Road, has about 30 discs, $2-3 for one night
- Snowden Video, on Snowden River Parkway, has about 50 - 100 discs,
- $3.?? for 2 nights
