  13.   I know that the menubar is "supposed to" only accept homogenous
  14. children of type pull down menu. My problem is, my clients want a
  15. display like this

  25. I've got the menubarr set up with the pulldowns as shown above
  26. and enough space on the right to hold the "Power meter"
  27. it consists of left and right arrows, colored segments (like
  28. a tape decks VU meter) and the power value numeric displayed to
  29. the right.

  31. I've already got the power meter written (all subclassed on a drawing
  32. area) and attached just under the menubar. The clients want it ON
  33. the menubar. Is there some way to "fake out" the menubars homogeneous
  34. setting?
