- It was, as you thought, a server bug. I've been using the MetroLink
- 4 bit server, as it supports hardware panning, giving a virtual screen
- size of 1024x2048, very good for previewing pages of dvi files at, say,
- 180dpi. But, the server has some bug, that causes the distorted lines.
- When I used MetroLink's 8 bit server, the probelm went away. (But I
- then have much less real estate -- that server only supports a virtual
- screen of 1152x896.) MetroLink's 4 bit Xvga server for SVR4 suffers
- from the same problem as the one for SVR3.2.
