- The problem of missing messages most commonly occurs on 386bsd using the
- pccons driver. Anything written to the console once in "X" mode is lost.
- This is a console driver problem rather than a server problem. The
- original recommendation that errors be directed to a file when trying
- to get X running is the only solution in that case.
