- I have a problem which I cannot understand with Xdvi pl 16 when
- displaying to an HP display (running X11R4 from HP (as in HP-UX 8.07)
- but not VUE.) The problem is the same whether the client is run on an
- HP or a Sun. The result is that all the bitmap is drawn in white on
- white instead of various greys, but all works fine if I explitly set
- the -fg and -bg colours. Experimenting, I find that just setting -bg
- white does the trick, even though this appears to make no difference.
- Certainly as far as I can see in init_pix the same colours get chosen
- and allocated whether I set the option or not, but in one case it
- works and in the other it fails. Does anyone have any ideas as to
- what to look for, or possible causes?

- To be consistent with DNS domain ordering, shouldn't news groups have
- names like "admin.sun.sys.comp" not "comp.sys.sun.admin" ? EMWTK
