  14. We have both versions on the system and sometimes we want to run stuff
  15. that runs in X11R4 but we can't because the links (/usr/lib/X11,
  16. /usr/bin/X11, etc.) all point to the X11R5 directory.  There should
  17. be an env var like X11HOME that can be set or something like it.

  19. The only other way is for me to call the SA and have him change the
  20. damn links.  And let me tell you, he doesn't like changing links
  21. twice a day.  We've thought about a script file, but that would violate
  22. some SA rules about running scripts with setuid.

  24. We can't convert the X11R4 apps because they're third party.
