- I'm frustrated. I've read and reread the xterm man page on my Sun 4.1.3
- system (we run OpenWindows 3) trying to figure out what to do about the
- key mappings. I'm looking for VT100 keys PF1, PF2, PF3 and especially
- PF4 (to use with the VMS EVE editor). I'm pretty sure the default
- key mapping doesn't have these defined.
-
- So, I thought I'd define them. But I've run into a confusion because
- I don't know what, excatly, a "resource" is or how to set the X toolkit
- keymap() resource. Probably, for this group, this is a trivial question,
- but could someone, offline, send me mail and tell me how to do this
- with xterm on a Sun? I played with .Xdefaults and the example in
- the xterm man page to no avail. Is this where I start?
-
- Here's the example from the man page, by the way:
-
- VT100.Translations: #override <Key>F13: keymap(dbx)
- *VT100.dbxKeymap.translations: \
- <Key>F14: keymap(None) \n\
- <Key>F17: string("next") string(0x0d) \n\
- <Key>F18: string("step") string(0x0d) \n\
- <Key>F19: string("continue") string(0x0d) \n\
- <Key>F20: string("print ") insert-selection(PRIMARY, CUT_BUFFER0)
-
- Thanks!
