  11. I am new to X-windows and have run into quite a problem.
  12. From talking to some other users familiar with X-windoews,
  13. this problem is not commonly run into.
  14. I would appreciate it if somebody could help me out.
  15. In short, the problem is:

  17. What I want to do is this:
  18. I want to simultaneously employ different fonts and 
  19. font colors within the same X-window.
  20.  
  21. My Computer is an Silicon Graphics Iris 4D-120.
  22.  
  23. How I am trying to do this.
  24. 1.) I am running xwsh
  25. 2.) I have no trouble getting a "normal" font and
  26. fontcolor with the -fn and -fg options, respectively.
  27.  
  28. 3.) I can specify a bold font and an
  29. italic font with the -boldfont and -italicfont options,
  30. respectively.
  31.  
  32. 4.) According to the writeup in the man pages for xwsh,
  33. I should be able to toggle back and forth between these
  34. fonts via appropiate ansi escape sequences.  This I have 
  35. NOT been able to do.  I am completely baffled.
