- I recently asked about 'xdm' and whether it was correct that it didn't
- support password aging. The answers I got both from the net and from NCD,
- from whom I got 'xdm' when I got the X-terminal I'm using now, were that
- no version of 'xdm' did. So I got the 'xdm' code, looked at it, and thought
- "Hey, piece of cake! I've done this poppasswdd I can do the same to 'xdm'!".
-
- Well, I didn't install X11 here and nobody else accepts responsibility for
- it... quite simply: /usr/lib/X11/config is missing, with it Imake.tmpl and
- everything else. I believe that this is crucial to build X applications,
- am I right? What can I do about *that*? Does an ftp site exist where only
- *parts* of the X11R4 distribution can be pulled from (i.e. my config
- directory)? Or should I give up for now, wait for more disk space, pull
- X11R5 over and install it properly...?
-
- Pardon me for my ignorance, but I used to be an OpenWindows man and never
- had to worry about stuff existing or being in the right places before...
