  14. I have tried to convert some X11R4 fonts from snf-format to rtx-format to
  15. use them on an IBM RT running AIX 2.2.1 and X11R3. I have used ``snftortx''
  16. to convert them to rtx-format and have used ``fixrtx -h'' afterwards to
  17. avoid scaling problems. This process has not given any errors.

  19. The thus created fonts are usable on the RT, but only the top half of the
  20. characters is visible. Moreover, it seems that the black pixels which
  21. compose a character are alternated with white pixels. The letter
  22. ``C'', for instance, looks as follows:

  32. Does anybody know what is going on? For your information, the X11R4 fonts
  33. are retrieved from a Sun3.
