- Hi,
-
- How do I run a console program, say xconsole, with xdm in an openwin
- 3.0 environment? I want it to run all the time, not just after a user
- logs into the system. The FAQ says to put the command in the xrdb
- shell script (in an X11R4 environment). But while you can certainly
- launch a client from there, xdm does a XKillClient after loading
- resources and just before the running the login code. Anything that
- creates a window will get killed. In X11R5, xdm runs a setup program
- after the XKillClient but that isn't in R4.
-
- Other than trying to run the R5 xdm, is there a solution?
