- Hello, I'm looking to set up unix on my 386 and have tried
- linux, found that it was still too unstable for it to be usable
- on my machine. I've got a 10"x10" SCO unix sysV/386 r3.2 box on
- my desk, and was thinging about trying it out. I read the X faq
- about Xfree not being tested with SCO, but to go ahead and try,
- if I'd like. So my the thousand dollar Q is - has anyone gotten
- X up under this os? If so, what version (no ODT please) and
- where can I get it. I have binaries for xview 3.3 (I think) but
- don't want to go through the hassle of installing unix and not being
- able to use X.
- I may have some definitions and terms mixed up in here,
- so please anyone who wished to correct me, do!
-
- Also, I noticed a sticker on the SCO box (how observant)
- that says "x/open" and "base XPG3". Can anyone explain what this
- means? Thanks in advance!!
