- I'm running the xnlock screen saver under Openwin3.0 / SunOS 4.1.1.
- My question is once xnlock is invoked, are all updates and
- refreshes of the "other" windows suspended and queued up?
-
- I had a large tar files containings some 3000+ files. In a "cmdtool" window,
- I began to untar it with the verbose option set. I xnlocked the screen and left
- for the night. When I unlocked the screen the next morning, numerous lines flashed
- by my screen but it was still doing the untar. The untar job should have taken
- about an hour.
-
- Are there any "xset" settings or whatever to prevent this problem?
