- Using OW3/olwm on a 16MB SLC has long given me a problem with the
- focus missing the right window at times. This happens when the system
- is doing something (like swapping, which it does quite often) and
- I move the mouse to a different window at the same time. I find that
- I have to make sure the focus is in the window I meant it to be in,
- or I will often miss the right window and type into a different
- one.
-
- I was amazed to see the same behaviour on a new 16MB LX running
- Solaris 2.1 and the OW3.x that comes with it! I would expect such
- a serious bug would be fixed by now.
-
- Anyone out there know of a way to bypass this behaviour, other than
- adding memory to the machine? This is definitely NOT acceptable
- behaviour for the focus, and it seems that you cannot do reliable
- follow-mouse focus in OW3/olwm as it is shipped from Sun...
-
- Any tips appreciated,
-
