  12. I fully support you in porting NeWS to Solaris.  I see the following as a
  13. beautiful future for NeWS:

  15. 1. port NeWS3.1 to Solaris, making it multi-threaded and real time responsive.
  16. 2. use XIL/XGL as underpinnings so that port becomes a trivial thing between
  17.    many suns and runs very fast.
  18. 3. Remove everything to do with X from the server.  It just slows things down.
  19. 4. Make sure Sun doesn't have NeWS.  It's too good for them.
