- For no apparent reason, when invoking VP/ix on my ISC SysVr3.2 system, I
- now receive the following failure message:
-
- /usr2/marwood>vpix
- VP/ix Version 1.02.00 Copyright (c) 1987
- Phoenix Technologies Ltd and INTERACTIVE Systems Corp.
- All Rights Reserved
- Redirector Installed: Version 2.04
-
- ========== Welcome to MS-DOS running in the VP/ix Environment ==========
-
- @@@ Assertion failed: ' *pth != '.' ' file strings.c line 158
- VP/ix Z:\USR2\MARWOOD>quit
- @@@ Assertion failed: ' *p
- /usr2/marwood>
-
- I have also received similar messages, but referring to a file
- "utils.c" rather than "strings.c".
-
- I am not aware that I have made any changes to cause this to happen,
- though I have probably done something, yet undiscovered. The only major
- change that I have made to my system recently is to start using X11R3,
- but the above problem occurs whether X is being used or not.
-
- Any help would be appreciated.
