  18. Well, it integrates the CPU (IU+FPU+MMU+on-chip I&D caches), the memory
  19. controller, the SBus interface and, I think, the "8-bit peripheral"
  20. interface on one die.  The other peripherals, such as the SCSI bus, the
  21. Ethernet interface, and the serial ports, are on two other chips.

  23. Dunno whether any 32-bit x86 chips exist that achieve a similar level of
  24. integration, although it's probably possible to create them, and some
  25. may be under development....
