  13. The latest version of the New 'tc' will be released Real Soon Now... most
  14. probably around 1/27... This version adds some _very_ welcome hacks from
  15. Apple themselves as well as some further modifications by myself. Some
  16. changes include:

  18.     1. The variable block length hack is gone for good... I'll wait
  19.        until the SCSI Manager _really_ supports this.
  20.  
  21.     2. "Official" support for the Sony DAT drives...
  22.  
  23.     3. The bug with the 8200s has been fixed.
  24.  
  25.     4. The one reported problem with the HP DAT and a Q700 should
  26.        be fixed also.
  27.  
  28.     5. Mode Sense info now reported by 'mt status'
  29.  
  30.     6. 'tc' will now "coerce" drives to have characteristics that
  31.        it expects...
  32.  
  33. All these changes seem to warrant a version number upgrade to 3.20 (from 3.12).
