- The latest version of the New 'tc' will be released Real Soon Now... most
- probably around 1/27... This version adds some _very_ welcome hacks from
- Apple themselves as well as some further modifications by myself. Some
- changes include:
-
- 1. The variable block length hack is gone for good... I'll wait
- until the SCSI Manager _really_ supports this.
-
- 2. "Official" support for the Sony DAT drives...
-
- 3. The bug with the 8200s has been fixed.
-
- 4. The one reported problem with the HP DAT and a Q700 should
- be fixed also.
-
- 5. Mode Sense info now reported by 'mt status'
-
- 6. 'tc' will now "coerce" drives to have characteristics that
- it expects...
-
- All these changes seem to warrant a version number upgrade to 3.20 (from 3.12).
