  14. I need to configure uucp over TCP/IP between two machines where the UUCP
  15. nodename of the destination machine is *not* the same as the TCP/IP
  16. nodename.

  18. I can do this very easily under SunOS. I simply configure
  19. /etc/uucp/Systems with an entry like so:

  21.     crs4    Any TCP - crs4gw.crs4.it ogin: Umachine ssword: xxx

  23. The fifth field specifies the TCP/IP hostname associated with the UUCP
  24. destination.

  26. AIX 3.2 BNU does not recognise this syntax because it uses the fifth
  27. field for specifying a protocol (g,t,e). Any suggestions? I do not want
  28. to add "crs4" to /etc/hosts because that name is already taken by
  29. another machine.
