- The x3270 product needs a vendor supplied password before you can
- start this application. This license can either be 'nodelocked'
- (only available on one node) or a floating network license (also
- multiple licences).
-
- In both cases you must install and set up the NCS system which is part
- of bosnet.obj (supplied with AIX), check out /etc/rc.ncs. If you
- like to use a floating license you also need a product called RLM
- Resource License Manager (same as NetLS from HP).
-
- In order to get a valid password for your system you have to provide
- the unique CPU-id of your system - 'uname -m' is the command for that.
- Attached to x3270 software there should be some docs you need to fill
- out and fax to the license center in order to get your password(s).
