  22. The x3270 product needs a vendor supplied password before you can
  23. start this application. This license can either be 'nodelocked'
  24. (only available on one node) or a floating network license (also
  25. multiple licences).

  27. In both cases you must install and set up the NCS system which is part
  28. of bosnet.obj (supplied with AIX), check out /etc/rc.ncs. If you
  29. like to use a floating license you also need a product called RLM
  30. Resource License Manager (same as NetLS from HP).

  32. In order to get a valid password for your system you have to provide
  33. the unique CPU-id of your system - 'uname -m' is the command for that.
  34. Attached to x3270 software there should be some docs you need to fill
  35. out and fax to the license center in order to get your password(s).
