- I wouldn't recommend flipping the switch. I tried on our 320 with Sony
- 'computer grade' DDS tapes. I was able to do a small tar and restore it
- but the system backup died a half GB into it with a rather non-descript
- i/o error---the drive had the 'disturbance' light on which means it thinks
- the heads are dirty. Even after cleaning it several times it didn't work.

- The service person couldn't figure out what was wrong so she decided
- to flip back the switch---in consultation with her support she said if
- I decided to flip it then the warranty would be void. Anyway, it
- worked on the full system backup (1.2 GB) although I haven't tried
- booting from that yet.
