- I don't know if this will help any but I had this happen once or twice. I
- couldn't recover everything, but I did get most. What I did was used dd to
- dump the contents of the tape to a file. (you need lots-o-room for this
- manouver) then I untarred the dd file. You have to tweak the dd switches as
- I remember to be able to do this. This may or may not work but it is one way
- I recovered as much as I could. I hope this helps. :)
