- In comp.text.tex you write:

- Of course there are no .fli or .pxl -files, but there are some files with the
- extension .mf. These files are METAFONT-files an could be used with METAFONT
- which is in the EmTeX package. With METAFONT you install the bitmap infomation
- for your printer and the extension for each font and font size is .pk. The pk-
- files are compressed pxl-files. But don't worry to lean METAFONT, because with
- the EmTeX package is a programm which is called "mfjob.exe" this programm
- manage the calling conventions for METAFONT and there is also doc file with a
- manual for mfjob. But be carefull if you starting "mfjob all" because all
- fonts will be generated and this takes a long time (about 3 days and more
- on a 386DX 20MHz).
- But if you use a printer which is compatible to a NEC P6 printer with
- 360x360DPI i could mail the fonts you need. But mostly the operator of your
- cluster could tell where you found the fonts or fontliberies you need for your
- printer. In the case of total helpless you could try to get these fonts from
- the FTP-server in Stuttgart "ftp.uni-stuttgart.de" or
- "rusinfo.rus.uni-stuttgart.de".
- Ok, thats all and i hope this helps you little bit.
