- But my understanding was that, for whetever reason, the idea was
- to have straight margins down both sides of the column, in
- the way news-magazines do. Ragged right is the obvious solution
- if you want ragged right margins. Not everybody does. The question
- of whether ragged right margins are aesthetically preferable to
- excesses of interword space is another matter entirely.
