- Hey all, hopefully I am hitting the right newsgroups with this one. I
- just installed the 5.4.97 version of dvips onto our NAS systems, and
- the postscript it is generating is not printing properly on HP
- LaserJet III's or the Imagen's we have.
-
- That same PS file will display properly inside of ghostscript and will
- print on an Apple Laserwriter. I've been working with the config
- files, either using the default or changing the setup for our
- particular printers, to no avail. Either "div" errors show up, or
- nothing at all.
-
- The error messages to the printers show nothing, and there are rarely
- printouts with something like "offending command:" on them. So, does
- anyone else experience this problem, is there a workaround, have I
- done something wrong, etc.
-
-
- The current HP config file is:
- ========================================================================
- M ln
- *
- * With a virtual machine, we can claim 1M of memory.
- *
- m 700000
- *
- * And send output by default to a PostScript file.
- *
- o !lpr -Phlw1
- *
- * Default resolution.
- *
- D 300
- *
- * Make sure that you look for write black fonts
- *
- * Do NOT use any % operators in the path, it will choke things later on
- * we would like to say:
- * P /usr/unsupported/lib/TeX/fonts/pk/imagen (but cannot, I think)
- P /usr/local/pkg/TeX/clients/lib/fonts/pk/ln03:/tmp/Dvips.pk
