- Oracle CoAuthor is a proofreader. We have a release for Interleaf,
- which is implemented as a layered application. Version 2, due out next
- month, will have pupolar readability indexes and document statistics.
- I am not sure about Mac support. For more information, please email
- infopruf@oracle.com.

- Unless you have a particular need for Interleaf (such as compatibility),
- I'd go for something else. I'm not familiar with Framemaker or other desktop
- publishers, but I am quite familiar with Interleaf. I don't believe that
- Interleaf allows you to do a word count in a document -- although there
- may be a way to write a script that will do that.
-
- For straight manuscripts, I use Word Perfect on a Powerbook. It
- does offer word count (either through the spell-check feature or through a
- pull-down menu called "About this document"). My spouse prefers Microsoft
- Word, for unknown reasons. (His stuff is highly technical and has lots of
- graphs and equations in it.)
-
- Please post whatever you find out- I'm curious about how/whether
- Interleaf functions on a PC/Macintosh environment. Judging from the other
- versions of Interleaf I've used, I bet it uses a HUGE amount of memory.
-
- Good luck!
