  18. I was also annoyed by bitmaps "randomly" disppearing.  The problem
  19. occurred most frequently when I used to close documents with the
  20. "exit window" function in my window manager.

  22. I have reduced the frequency of this occurance (from about once a
  23. week to once a month or less) by always saving the document (e.g.,
  24. ^X^S or File->Save) before closing it.  I have no idea why this works.
