- Hi, all.
-
- We are in the process of switching our technical writing department
- over to the workstation version of Framemaker. At the present, we're
- using a document publishing system that's based on SGML. There are
- approximately 1500 pages of documentation in this format.
- Additionally, there are about 500 pages of documentation in TeX.
-
- We also have a **VERY** constrained budget.
-
- I've looked into having a 3rd party convert our files, but the cost is
- prohibitively expensive. Does anyone know of any shareware filters
- that could be used to conver SGML or TeX files into Framemaker format?
-
- Would scanning hard copies of the documentation be a viable
- alternative? Does Framemaker have an SGML product? (A possible
- complication: since I have no other experience with SGML besides the
- package we're currently using, I don't know if it's 100% compatible
- with the standard.)
-
- I would greatly appreciate any advice and / or suggestions.
-
-
-
- Thanks,
-
