- There is a company called TADPOLE that makes a SPARC laptop. I think
- it is called SPARCbook. I recently received some brochures from them
- about their SPARCbook. They are at the office so I cannot give you all
- the details but only what I remember.
- Their laptop is running some OS that they calim is compatible with SunOS4.1.2,
- and the basic notbook costs about US$4000. The maximum configuration
- is with 64MB of RAM and 360MB of disk. I remember them mentioning that the
- performance was similar to an IPC (or maybe IPX????).
- In any case, look through some trade journals and magazines (e.g. SUn Expert)
- becasue they have lots of ads. I am trying to convince my boss to buy me one
- for my travels. :-) Wish me luck!
-
- Ciao!
