- In tracking down a problem with a fax modem I noticed that crtscts is
- ignored on my port-a serial line. Its not an external wiring problem
- - I can see cts drop at the SLC serial connector. I can also see that
- the ioctl() to set the CRTSCTS bit worked, because I can see it set
- via "stty everything > /dev/cua0".
-
- I guess it could be either a HW problem on my CPU card or a SW problem
- with 4.1.3. Does anyone use "HW flow" on their SLC port-A under
- 4.1.3? Does it actually flow off the TX? (On my port A, I can watch
- the poor modem get nailed with 38400baud data many, many seconds after
- it drops CTS.)

- PS. Exactly the same setup works correctly on my port-B. The flow
- actually *does* stop when CTS drops. The problem is entirely
- with port A. (Guess how long that took to find out! ;-))
