  18.     I have striped two SUN1.3GB drives under 4.1.2 & 4.1.3.  I have been
  19. told by Sun that "On Line Disk Suite" is not avaiable for Solrais 2.1 yet.
  20. I can not upgrade my 670 or NFS towers yet, without it.

  22.     Some Hints:

  24.     When creating your Meta Databases, have at least three on at least two
  25. different partitions.  Therefore, if you loose a partition, you are not
  26. destroyed.

  28.     WARNING!!!

  30.     If you are going to run Disk Less Stations off of the striped partitions
  31. make sure you read that section of the On Line Disk Suite Manual FIRST!!!

  33.     If you are goint to save some disk space so you can added to your
  34. stripes later, make sure your save a disk partition!!!  This is nothing like
  35. adding PPs in AIX.

  37.     If you are adding new drives I like to label my partitions as follows:
  38.         sd1a & sd2a = md1a
  39. I try to have sd1a and sd2a the same size.  Therefore, months later I will know
  40. which sd partitions is which md partition.
