  11. I be having problem with Solaris 2.1 and NFS
  12.  
  13. Here is scenario
  14.  
  15. I am running Solaris 2.1 on an IPC connected to a Unisys s80 (old System 5
  16. r3). When I try to mount a file system on the SUN from the Unisys I get error
  17. messages on both machines SO:
  18.     Unisys: mount: I/O error
  19.         mount: cannot mount /dev/nfsd
  20.  
  21.     On SUN console:
  22.         <hostname> NFS request from unprivileged port
  23.         <hostname> nfs_server: weak authenticatio
  24.  
  25. Note 
  26.     - that when running 4.1.2 in the SUN/IPC I was able to mount this way
  27.     - I am able to mount a file system on the Unisys system from the SUN
  28.     - the showmount command on the SUN tells me that the Unisys system has
  29.       mounted 
  30.     - when I do a rup command on the SUN I get a RPC: program not registered 
  31.       error
  32.     - I have tried the mountd with and without the -n option
  33.     - root is only in 5 groups on the SUN
  34.  
  35. Needless to say SUN support/service has been unable to help (after waitng 
  36. 3 days for a response from them)
