  20. Under SunOS 4.x you would then, conceivably, have different kernels
  21. for your multiuser systems than your desktops.  This isn't very easy
  22. to manage at a large site.

  24. Fortunately, in SunOS 5.x (Solaris 2.x) you can just set the "maxuprc"
  25. variable in the /etc/system file and reboot.  No kernel compiling
  26. needed.  This approach is likely to be managable for large sites.
